Abstract
The article discusses in detail the features of translations of V. S. Vysotsky’s lyrics into English from the point of view of transmitting phraseological transformations in them. The article analyzes the translations of lyrics into English made by Russian-speaking authors. A comparison of translations by different authors is given. Special attention is paid to the classification of transformed phraseological units. Studying the translations of V. S. Vysotsky’s lyrics into English allowed us to draw conclusions about the most frequent shortcomings and mistakes made when translating lyrics.
