Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of the chronotopic organization of D. Bavilsky's novel «The Red Dot» in the context of M. Bakhtin's theoretical developments. The study reveals a multi-level structure of spatial and temporal relations in the work, where the linear narrative time of the protagonist's growing up interacts with the cyclical time of the «provincial town» and the transforming historical time of the Soviet and post-Soviet eras.
