Abstract
The article offers an analysis of Asya Volodina's novel "Protagonist", reveals its correspondence to the compositional structure and poetic model of ancient tragedy. The authors analyze the use of elements of the structure of ancient Greek drama (prologue, agon, kommos and exodus), as well as the system of masks and the image of the protagonist in the modern novel.
