Abstract
Abstract: The article explores the cyclical nature of the collection «The Enchanted Island. New Tales of Italy» in the context of the tradition established by Maxim Gorky in his «Tales of Italy». It analyzes the cyclical factors, genre specificity, and the dialogue between classicism and modernity. Special attention is given to the image of Capri as a key element of artistic unity. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the comprehensive analysis of the collection as a cycle, as well as in identifying the transformation of the image of Italy in contemporary literature.
