Abstract
The article characterizes the key aspects of D. A. Danilov's work and examines the poetics of his novel «Description of the City» (2011). Within the framework of poetics, we have identified the following aspects: the history of the creation of the novel is described, as well as the specific narrative manner of the author, the features of the urban text are identified, the visual and graphic features of the novel, intertextual connections, etc. are characterized. The study shows that D. A. Danilov creates a unique experimental novel, which can be considered as a practical guide to the psychological development of a city or place.
