Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the role of modern digital technologies in the literary development of 21st century schoolchildren. The main directions of the influence of information resources and interactive tools on the formation of reading competencies, the development of critical thinking and creative abilities of students are considered. Special attention is paid to the use of electronic libraries, online books, and virtual platforms for mobile applications that increase interest in literature among young people. A survey was conducted among schoolchildren to analyze the trend of reading through virtual or printed books, and relevant sources for students to familiarize themselves with the works are also considered.
