Abstract
The article analyzes the evolution of the concept of "diaspora" in the humanities, with a focus on its interpretation in historical-sociological, ethnological, and anthropological contexts. Various approaches to defining the diaspora are discussed, from its religious origins to contemporary concepts related to globalization and migration processes. In particular, the article highlights the changes that occur with diasporas in the context of both forced and voluntary migration, as well as the ongoing cultural and social ties between diasporas and their historical homeland. In conclusion, the importance of an interdisciplinary approach for a comprehensive understanding of the diaspora phenomenon in the context of modern global transformations is emphasized.
