Abstract
This article is devoted to xianxia – the genre of fantastic Chinese literature that was formed under the influence of Chinese mythology, Taoism, martial arts and many other cultural elements. The main research purpose is the try to determine the origins and specifics of the plot- imaginative system of the xianxia genre and to identify its relationship with such fantastic genres of Chinese literature as wuxia and shenmo based on the material of the novel "Flowers in the Mirror" by Li Zhu-zhen.
