Abstract
The article analyzes the activities of M. D. Kovrigina, a doctor and organizer in the Soviet healthcare system, in 1936 – June 1941. 7 directions of her work on the eve of the Great Patriotic War were also identified. The initial path of formation of M. D. Kovrigina as a female leader in the USSR is shown, objective and subjective factors of her distribution to the Chelyabinsk region after graduation from the Sverdlovsk Medical Institute are worked out.
