Abstract

The aim of the research is to consider jouissance as a product of discourse in Lacan’s discourse theory, implying ways of communication between subjects, both singular and collective. Surplus jouissance, having little to do with the truth, could be considered as a consequence and a starting power of each discourse. It is a necessary consequence nonetheless, which closes discourse in its eternal repetition.
